George Cushingberry, Jr.
George Cushingberry, Jr. (Born January 6, 1953) is a Detroit City Councilperson accused by Detroit Police Chief James Craig of driving with an open container of alcohol and illegally transporting marijuana. Facing other allegations of misconduct as an attorney, he agreed to a 46 day suspension of his attorney's license, although his website continues to advertise his services as a lawyer.
After being represented by the Law Firm of George Cushingberry Jr, an attorney accused of looting a widow's late husband's estate, he was Found Not Guilty March 24 after Detroit Police Officer Alen Ibrahmovic was determined to have filed a false police report by 36th District Judge Geraldine Ford.
